6 medium Russet potatoespotato
¼ cup real butterbutter
¼ cup milkmilk
Salt and pepper to tastesalt-and-pepper

Instructions (8 steps)

01Peel potatoes and cut into quarters.
02Place potatoes into a large pot and cover with cold water. Add 1 t. of salt to water.
03Over medium heat, bring to a boil and cook until tender, around 15 minutes.
04Drain potatoes and rinse. Return to pan and allow to dry slightly.
05Run potatoes through food mill (or ricer, or strainer).
06Add milk, and butter and gradually, folding continuously.
07Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
