01Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
02In the bowl of a stand mixer, cream butter and sugar. Add the egg and vanilla.
03In a separate bowl mix together baking powder and flour. Slowly add the flour mixture to the butter mixture until fully incorporated.
04Roll out on lightly floured board to desired thickness.
05Cutout 2-1/2" hearts and bake at 400 degrees for 7- 10 minutes.
06Should be light in color with light browning on the edges.
