6 large onions, choppedonion
1/2 cup butterbutter
6 (10 1/2 ounce) cans condensed beef broth, undiluted
1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauceworcestershire
3 bay leavesbay-leaf
10 slices French bread, toastedbread
shredded parmesan cheeseparmesan
shredded mozzarella cheesemozzarella

Instructions (6 steps)

01In a large skillet, sauté onions in butter until crisp-tender.
02Transfer to an ungreased 5-quart slow cooker/crock pot.
03Add the broth, Worcestershire sauce, and bay leaves.
04Cover and cook on low for 5 to 7 hours or until the onions are tender.
05Discard bay leaves.
