Applesauce Muffins

Unfortunately I cannot take credit for these delicious muffins. This came from an old TOH magazine where someone had written in for this muffin recipe that they had tried at a restaurant called Curly Maple Resturaunt. These are perfectly moist and the kids gobble them up.

1 1/2 cups sugarsugar
1/2 cup butter, softenedbutter
2 eggsegg
2 cups flourflour
1 teaspoon baking powderbaking-powder
1 teaspoon cinnamoncinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking sodabaking-soda
1/2 teaspoon ground clovesclove
1/4 teaspoon saltsalt
1 cup applesauceapplesauce

Instructions (6 steps)

01In mixing bowl, cream sugar and butter.
02Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
03Combine dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture alternately with applesauce.
04Mix just until combined.
05Fill greased or paper lined muffin cups 2/3 full.
