This is a recipe I found that is supposed to be close to the side from Famous Dave's BBQ -- I just ADORED these apples with ribs...and I know they work well with ham dishes for holidays!! *recipe untried by me yet, hope it is close to them!! Yield is a guess.

24 granny smith apples, peeled, cored, and cut into semicirclesapple
3 -4 cups white sugarsugar
4 tablespoons cinnamoncinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmegnutmeg
1/2 cup rumrum

Instructions (5 steps)

01Mix apples with sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
02Mix in rum.
03Heat over medium heat until apple mixture is juicy and the juice boils.
04Boil for 20 minutes over medium heat.
