C is for Chocolate Chip Cookie

• ½ cups Sugarsugar
• ½ cups Packed Brown Sugarbrown-sugar
• 10-⅔ Tablespoons Butter, Melted And Cooled Completelybutter
• 1 whole Eggegg
• 1-½ cup Flourflour
• ½ teaspoons Baking Sodabaking-soda
• ½ teaspoons Saltsalt
• 6 ounces, weight Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
• 1 cup Chopped Nuts (optional)

1. 01Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. 02Cream sugars, butter, and egg together in large mixing bowl or a stand mixer. Add in flour, baking soda and salt (dough will be stiff). Lastly, stir in chocolate chips and walnuts, if using.
3. 03Drop by rounded tablespoons (I use a small ice cream scoop) onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until light golden brown, 11-13 minutes. Remove while still slightly soft and let cool on the pan. This will yield a chewy cookie. Yields 18 cookies.
