2 large Garlic bulbsgarlic
2 tbsp Olive oilolive-oil
½ tsp Salt (to taste)salt
½ tsp Black pepper powder
pinch of red pepper flakes, lemon juice, or balsamic vinegar for added flavor (optional)red-pepper-flakes

Instructions (7 steps)

01Preheat the oven to 400°F /200°C/ Gas Mark 6.
02Wash the red bell peppers and cut them in half. Remove the seeds and membranes. Peel the outer layers of the garlic bulbs, leaving the cloves intact.
03Place the pepper halves and garlic bulbs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle the peppers and garlic with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
04Roast in the preheated oven for about 30-40 minutes, or until the peppers are charred and the garlic is soft and golden brown.
05Remove the tray from the oven. Cover it with plastic wrap or a clean kitchen towel and let it cool for a few minutes. Peel the skin off the peppers and squeeze the roasted garlic cloves out of their skins.
