This is a really good bread inspired by our local Italian sandwich shop. It makes into a great beef and mozzerella sandwich or the best slightly sweet garlic bread.

1 cup waterwater
1 tablespoon olive oilolive-oil
7 tablespoons sugarsugar
1 eggegg
3 1/2 cups bread flourbread-flour
2 teaspoons yeastyeast

Instructions (6 steps)

01Put all ingredients into bread machine.
02Mix on dough cycle.
03When cycle is complete, put dough onto greased surface and let sit for 20 minutes.
04After dough has rested, cut in half.
05Form into 2 long loaves.
06Bake at 375 for 20 to 25 minutes.
