This is a "no crust" apple pie that my mom used to make. It is great served alone or with vanilla ice cream. This is a "must" for our family at holiday gatherings.

4 -5 medium apples (peeled, cored, and sliced)apple
1 1/4 cups sugar (divided)sugar
3 teaspoons cinnamoncinnamon
3/4 cup butter or 3/4 cup margarinemargarine
1 cup flourflour
1 eggegg

Instructions (8 steps)

01Preheat oven to 350.
02Fill pie pan 3/4 full with apples.
03Mix 1/4 cup sugar and 3 tsp cinnamon.
04Sprinkle over apples.
05In saucepan, melt butter and remove from heat.
06Add remaining ingredients (including the 1 cup of sugar remaining).
07Pour evenly over the apples in pan.
