6 slices baconbacon
6 slices breadbread
1-2 Tablespoons butter (softened)butter
6 large eggsegg
salt & peppersalt-and-pepper

Instructions (7 steps)

01Preheat oven to 400°F.
02Place the bacon strips on a rimmed baking sheet and partially cook for 5-7 minutes. Remove to a paper towel lined plate to cool. (If you want to cook the remaining bacon from the package, just return it to the oven for about 7-10 more minutes or until it reaches your desired crispiness.)
03Drain the excess grease from the sheet pan.
04Butter 1 side of each slice of bread. Using a biscuit cutter or rim of a drinking glass, cut a hole out of the center of each slice. Place them butter side down on the sheet pan. Place the circles on the sheet pan as well.
05Cut each slice of bacon in half and make an X across the hole in each slice of bread.
