1 (18 ounce) box yellow cake mix with pudding (2 layer)
1/3 cup vegetable oilvegetable-oil
4 eggsegg

1 cup chopped pecanspecan
confectioners' sugar (optional)
cream cheese frosting (optional)cream

Instructions (13 steps)

01Line the bottom of a springform angel food cake pan with waxed paper, grease well, then flour.
02In large mixing bowl of electric mixer, combine dry cake mix and oil.
03Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well.
04Add fruit; mix well.
05Fold in nuts.

06Pour batter into prepared pan.

07Bake in a pre-heated 350- degree oven 40 minutes, then reduce heat to 300 degrees and bake 35 to 40 minutes more, or until cake tests done.

08Shake pan to loosen cake from sides and let sit 10 minutes.

09Lift the center of the pan out and turn cake onto cake plate.

10Remove waxed paper.

11Turn cake right-side up before serving.

12Sprinkle with confectioners sugar if desired, or top with cream cheese frosting.

13This cake tastes better when cold.
