1 lb potato, peeled and cut uppotato
1 lb lean ground beefground-beef
1/2 cup chopped oniononion
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can tomato souptomato-soup
1/4 cup waterwater
1 (15 ounce) can green beansgreen-beans
1 teaspoon saltsalt
pepperpepper
1 egg, beatenegg
milkmilk
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheesecheddar

Instructions (10 steps)

01Cook potatoes in boiling salted water until tender, about 20 minutes; drain.
02Meanwhile, in large frying pan, cook ground beef and onion until meat is lightly browned and onion is tender; drain off fat.
03Stir in green beans, tomato soup, water, salt and pepper.
04Turn mixture into a 1 1/2 quart casserole.

Mash potatoes while hot; blend in egg.

06Add enough milk to make potatoes fluffy.

07Season potatoes to taste with salt and pepper.

08Spread or drop potato mixture on top of meat mixture.

10Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes until cheese is melted and sauce is bubbly.
