This cookie comes out soft and is great cut like a pie and served with vanilla ice cream ( or chocolate). Make sure you use an oven proof skillet, I use cast iron.

1 teaspoon baking sodabaking-soda
1/2 teaspoon saltsalt
1 eggegg

1 1/2 cups chocolate chipschocolate-chips
3/4 cup nuts (optional)

01Cream butter and both sugars.
02Sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
03Add the egg and vanilla to the butter mixture.
