These are a must at our house during the holidays. They don't last long, That is why I like this larger recipe.I think that BUTTER is a must in Pecan Sandies. Enjoy (prep time does not include chill time.)

Ingredients (7)

2 cups butterbutter
2/3 cup white sugarsugar
4 teaspoons waterwater
4 teaspoons vanillavanilla
4 cups sifted flourflour
2 cups chopped pecanspecan
6 tablespoons powdered sugarsugar

Instructions (10 steps)

01Cream to gether butter and sugar until smooth.
02Beat in water and vanilla.
03Stir in the flour and pecans until well blended (I use the mixer).
04Cover dough and chill at least 4 hours (can be chilled over night).
05Preheat oven 325 degrees.
06Shape dough into walnut sized balls or cresents.
07Place 2 inches apart onto cookie sheets.
