This is another old recipe of my mothers. It's at least 50 years old or more. I don't know where she got it but it is very good and buttery.I am going to guess on the amount of cookies it makes. I know it makes a lot. They also freezes well.

5 -5 1/2 cups flourflour
2 cups granulated sugarsugar
1 lb butter, room temperaturebutter
1 teaspoon saltsalt
1 teaspoon vanillavanilla
2 eggsegg

Instructions (9 steps)

01Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
02Cream together sugar and butter.
03Add eggs which have been slightly beaten.
04add salt and flour.
05add vanilla.
06Mix well.
07Form into fancy shapes by using a cookie press.
08place on ungreased cookie sheet.
