1 large onion, dicedonion
1 large carrot, dicedcarrot
3 garlic cloves, mincedgarlic
1 lb ground beefground-beef
2 1/2 cups red winered-wine
1/2 tablespoon tomato pastetomato-paste
1 cup beef brothbeef-broth
6 fresh tomatoes, choppedtomato
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, choppedparsley
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauceworcestershire
salt and peppersalt-and-pepper
11 ounces freshly cooked spaghettispaghetti
1 ounce butterbutter
parmesan cheeseparmesan

Instructions (7 steps)

01Heat a large saucepan on the stove and add the butter.
02Fry the onion, carrot and garlic for a few minutes, stirring all the time.
03Add ground beef and cook for 4 minutes.

04Add wine and tomato paste, simmer for 5 minutes.

05Add broth and tomatoes.

06Simmer for 30-45 minutes before adding parsley, worcestershire sauce and plenty of salt and pepper.

07Serve with cooked buttered pasta and freshly grated parmesan.
