1 (6 7/8 ounce) box beef flavored Rice-A-Ronirice-a-roni
1 lb ground beefground-beef
2 tablespoons butterbutter
2 1/2 cups hot waterwater
1 teaspoon saltsalt
1/4 teaspoon pepperpepper
2 eggs (well beaten)egg
3 slices bacon (uncooked)bacon
1 pie shell

Instructions (13 steps)

01Preheat oven to 400.
02In a skillet, lightly brown the Rice A Roni in the butter (keep flavor pack aside).
03Add and brown the ground beef, crumble finely.
04Stir in hot water.
05Add contents of the beef flavored packet that came with Rice A Roni.
06Add salt & pepper and mix.

07Cover and simmer for 15min on low.

09Stir in 2 well beaten eggs.

10Fill pie shell with mixture.

11Top with bacon slices.

12Bake for 20 minutes.

13note: the bacon cooking on top of the pie is used to add flavor, but does not get crisp. You can brown the bacon slightly before adding it if you like.
