2 lbs fresh okra (washed with stems trimmed short)okra
9 small hot peppers, fresh or dried (cayenne)pepper
18 cloves garlicgarlic
3 tablespoons dill seedsdill-seed
4 cups 5% acidity white vinegarvinegar
4 cups waterwater
1/2 cup canning saltsalt
1/4 cup sugarsugar

Instructions (9 steps)

01In each of 9 pint size hot jars (I prefer wide mouth jars), put 1 pepper, 2 cloves garlic, and 1 tsp dill seed.
02Pack washed okra into jars to within 1/2" from the top of the jar.
03Boil vinegar, water, canning salt, and sugar.
04Pour vinegar mixture over okra, again filling to within 1/2" from the top of the jar.
05Remove any air bubbles.
