Basic Beer Batter

• 1 cup flourflour
• 1/4 cup cornstarchcornstarch
• 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepperpepper
• 1 teaspoon garlic saltsalt
• 3/4 cup flat beerbeer
• 2 eggs, lightly beatenegg
• 2 tablespoons vegetable oilvegetable-oil

1. 01Combine all dry ingredients.
2. 02Add liquid ingredients and mix well.
3. 03Allow batter to chill in refrigerator for a least 1 hour before using.
4. 04Dip food in batter and place into hot oil.
