2 1/2 cups all-purpose flourflour
4 teaspoon baking powderbaking-powder
1 tablespoon sugarsugar
1 teaspoon saltsalt
2 cups buttermilkbuttermilk
1/2 cup butter (unsalted, melted)butter

Instructions (5 steps)

01Preheat your oven to 400 F degrees.
02In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Add the buttermilk and mix just until a moist dough is formed. The dough will be sticky.
03Pour the melted butter into an 8x8-inch baking dish. Place the dough on top of the melted butter and spread it evenly across the pan, using a spatula.
04Cut the dough into 9 equal squares. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
05Run a knife throught he biscuits again if needed to pull them out.
