1 (10 ounce) box chocolate cake mixchocolate-cake-mix
1/2-1 cup melted butterbutter
3 eggs, dividedegg
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1 (1 lb) box powdered sugarsugar
8 ounces cream cheesecream-cheese

Instructions (7 steps)

01Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
02Butter and flour a 13 by 9 inch baking dish.
03Combine dry ingredients, butter and 1 egg.
04Add pecans if desired.
05Spread in greased pan.
06Beat powdered sugar, cream cheese and remaining 2 eggs together and spread on top of the cake.
07Bake for 50 minutes or until cake tests done.
