I got this recipe out of cook book called "Calling all Cooks". It is more like a cobbler/crisp type pie than the traditional apple pie, but it is oh so good. Serve it cold or hot with vanilla ice cream.

4 large tart applesapple
1 cup white sugarsugar
1 teaspoon cinnamoncinnamon
1/2 cup melted butterbutter
1 cup flourflour
1 teaspoon sugarsugar
1/2 cup brown sugarbrown-sugar
1/2 cup chopped nutschopped-nuts

Instructions (6 steps)

01Peel and slice apples and lay in deep dish pie plate.
02Sprinkle white sugar on top of apples.
03Sprinkle cinnamon on top of sugar.
04In separate bowl melt butter and mix with dry ingredients.
05Spoon and press this to cover apples.
06Bake for 45 minutes on 350°F.
