Satisfying French Toast

I found this recipe on Allrecipes.com and have been using ever since. Over 200 people have reviewed this on their website! What makes it special is the addition of flour to the batter. It enables the coating to stick on the toast and not in the pan. Note: I use Texas Toast bread.

1/4 cup all-purpose flour (I use blender, since the flour tends to not mix in evenly)flour

1 pinch saltsalt
3 eggsegg
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (I add more)cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla (I also add some maple extract)vanilla
1 tablespoon white sugarsugar
12 slices bread (I use Texas toast)bread

Instructions (4 steps)

01Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium heat.
02Soak bread slices in mixture until saturated.
03Cook bread on each side until golden.
04I sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve syrup on the side.
