6 tablespoons onions, choppedonion
3/4 cup celery, large dicecelery
2 1/2 cups hot waterwater
2 cups potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubespotato
1 quart half-and-half creamcream
3 cups frozen corn, thawedcorn
2 tablespoons sugarsugar
2 teaspoons saltsalt
1 pinch white pepperwhite-pepper
3 tablespoons flourflour

Instructions (8 steps)

01On medium heat, melt butter.
02Simmer onion and celery for 5 minutes until soft but not brown.
03Add water, potatoes, corn and seasonings.
04Cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until potatoes are barely tender.
