Ingredients (8)

3 strips bacon, cut into small piecesbacon
1 1/2 tablespoons flourflour
2 (1 1/2 lb) cans sauerkrautsauerkraut
3 lbs Polish sausage, cut in 1 1/2 inch piecessausage
2 small apples, cubedapple
1/2 cup beerbeer
3 tablespoons brown sugarbrown-sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons caraway seeds (optional)caraway

Instructions (6 steps)

01Fry bacon until crisp; drain.
02Blend flour into bacon drippings.
03Stir in sauerkraut.
04Put sauerkraut mixture and bacon in slow electric cooker.
05Add all other ingredients; stir together thoroughly.
06Cover and cook on low 7 to 9 hours (or on high 3 to 4 hours).
