Heavenly Cucumber Salad

This is a nice little twist on that good old cucumber salad. I found this recipe in Gardening News. Cooking time is the standing time.

Ingredients (9)

3/4 teaspoon saltsalt
3 medium cucumbers, peeled and sliced thincucumber
1 garlic clove, cut in half, lengthwise (optional)garlic
1/4 cup cider vinegarvinegar
1 tablespoon olive oilolive-oil
2 tablespoons waterwater
2 teaspoons sugarsugar
1 pinch black pepperpepper
1/4 teaspoon paprikapaprika

Instructions (9 steps)

01Add the salt to the cucumbers and let them stand in a large bowl.
02After 30 minutes the juice will have drained from the cucumbers.
03Drain the juice from the bowl.
04Rub a second large bowl with the garlic halves. (optional).
05In the second bowl mix the oil, vinegar, water, and sugar.

Add drained cucumbers and mix well.

07Sprinkle with pepper and paprika.

08Cover and chill for 30 minutes before serving.

09Enjoy.
