This is a mystery dish! - I cannot find the origin of where I got this recipe, nor can I find out the meanig Of "Tzimmes" However I serve this as a side dish with roast meat or chicken and it is wonderful. Who knows it could be a dessert!!! I think this would be a wonderful filling for sweet porogies instead of plum

2 large yams, peeled and cut into cubesyam
2 carrots, thinly slicedcarrot
1/2 cup pitted prune
1 cup waterwater
1 apple, cored peeled &,cubedapple
honey, to tastehoney

Instructions (2 steps)

01Put the yams, carrots, prunes and water in a saucepan, bring to a boil cover and simmer 25 minutes or until tender Add apple& honey cook 25 minutes longer.
02Turn the mixture into a casserole bake uncovered at 350F for for 20 minutes.
