Ingredients (10)

1 frozen pie crustpie-crust
1/2 sliced red onionred-onion
1 clove garlic, mincedgarlic
2/3 cup broccoli floret, blanched and drainedbroccoli
3/4 cup grated gruyere or 3/4 cup swiss cheesegruyere
3 large eggs, slightly beatenegg
1 1/2 cups half-and-half
1/2 teaspoon saltsalt
1/4 teaspoon pepperpepper
1 pinch ground nutmegnutmeg

Instructions (7 steps)

01Brush frozen crust with egg yolk and prick thoroughly with a fork.
02Prebake according to package instructions.
03Saute the onion and garlic in olive oil until soft.
04Mix the eggs, half and half, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
05Spread the onion, broccoli, and cheese on the bottom of the pie crust.

06Pour in the egg mixture.

07Bake at 375 for 25-30 minutes, or until set and browned.
