1 teaspoon baking sodabaking-soda
1/2 teaspoon saltsalt
1/2 cup sugarsugar
1/2 cup brown sugarbrown-sugar
1 teaspoon vanillavanilla
1/2 cup shorteningshortening
1/2 cup peanut butterpeanut-butter
1 eggegg
2 tablespoons milkmilk
additional sugarsugar
48 Hershey chocolate kisses (unwrapped)

Instructions (6 steps)

01Combine shortening, sugars, egg, vanilla and peanut butter.
02Add dry ingredients and milk.
03Shape dough into small balls, then roll in sugar.
04Place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
05Bake 10 minutes at 350.

06Place a kiss in middle of each cookie pressing until the edges crack.
