I found and made this recipe today...this pie is SO good! The recipe comes from Midwest Living's April 2003 issue, originally from the M&M Cafe in Monticello, Wisconsin.

3/4 cup sugarsugar
1/4 cup cornstarchcornstarch
1/4 teaspoon saltsalt
2 1/2 cups half-and-half or 2 1/2 cups light creamcream
1/2 cup butterbutter
1/4 cup packed brown sugarbrown-sugar
1 teaspoon vanillavanilla
1 9-inch baked pie crust
ground cinnamoncinnamon

Instructions (9 steps)

01In a medium saucepan, stir together the sugar, cornstarch and salt.
02Whisk in the half-and-half or light cream and cook and stir over medium heat until the mixture is thickened and bubbly.
03Remove from heat.
04Stir in butter, brown sugar and vanilla until butter melts.
05Pour into baked pie shell and sprinkle lightly with cinnamon.
