1 pound Thick Cut, Peppered Bacon
½ cups Dark Brown Sugar (more As Needed)
¼ cups Pure Maple Syrupmaple-syrup
¼ teaspoons Ground Cayenne Pepperpepper

Instructions (9 steps)

01Preheat your oven to 375F.
02Mix the syrup and cayenne pepper well in a small bowl and set aside.
03Coat both sides of each bacon slice generously with brown sugar.
04Arrange the bacon on a wire rack inside a sheet pan.
05Bake in the center rack in your oven until the sugar is starting to caramelize and the bacon just starts to crisp around the edges. This should take about 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of your bacon.
06Remove from the oven and brush each slice with the syrup mixture and bake another five minutes.
