06 Pour in milk, eggs and vanilla.
07 Using an electric stand mixer with the paddle attachment, beat at low speed for one minute.
08 Stop the mixer and scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl.
09 Continue to beat at medium speed for 2 more minutes.
10 Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth evenly.
11 Bake for 1 hour 30 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean. The top should be golden brown.
12 Cool in the pan 5 minutes. Run a sharp knife around the edges of the pan to loosen.
13 Invert cake onto a wire rack to cool completely.
14 Move to a cake plate and slice with a serrated knife.
15 Serve plain or add whipped cream and berries.
